$17.00

Hinamori Meiboku Miyazaki, Kyushu, Japan

length 23.5 cm

“Many years are taken in drying the lumber naturally. Made from 300 year+ trees, which are cut down to preserve the continual, healthy growth within the Kirishima mountains natural park in Kyushu. The wood is gathered by our predecessor, who is a connoisseur of wood. We put our "Ki" into everything we do.”

The chopsticks (Hashi) have a natural beautiful wood grain and glossy color. They are dried naturally, to produce a close-grained, naturally water resistant wood, which helps to prevent mold.

Kirishima Tsuga (Southern Japanese hemlock) expresses solidity and greatness. Because of its slow growth, the grain is fine and beautiful. The wood becomes stronger when dried.
